Creating a Framework to Evaluate Cities and their Public Housing Projects

Through the NUS-UBC programme, my group addressed a significant gap in the understanding of the relationship between liveability and blue-green urbanism in residential neighborhoods. Currently, there is no universal scale to measure and compare cities on these factors, hindering effective planning and development. To bridge this gap, we developed a comprehensive six-point framework that evaluates liveability and blue-green urbanism in housing and residential properties.

This framework incorporates key elements such as access to green spaces, water management, biodiversity, social cohesion, environmental sustainability, and overall quality of life. By applying this framework to various cities, we aim to provide a standardized tool for assessing and improving urban environments, enabling cities to enhance their livability while fostering sustainable blue-green infrastructures.
